Thank you for using the EaseUp App. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application and website. By using the app, you agree to the terms outlined below.
The EaseUp App and website do not collect sensitive personally identifiable information such as email addresses, phone numbers, or account credentials. However, the app may request limited, optional data — such as a first name — to personalize the user experience. This information is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties.
Users may choose to enter a first name, which is used solely for personalization (e.g., displaying it on the home screen).
Current versions of the EaseUp app use Apple’s In-App Purchase system and StoreKit to process lifetime (one-time) purchases, verify Pro (premium) access—including any legacy auto-renewable subscription that remains active with Apple—and to support Restore Purchases. EaseUp does not receive or store your payment card details; Apple processes payments. Purchase-related signals may also be reflected in coarse analytics properties (for example, whether Pro appears enabled) as described in the Amplitude section below.
This data is used solely to:
We do not access or store payment card information. Apple processes payments through the App Store; Apple’s privacy materials describe how Apple handles related data.
For more information, see Apple’s Privacy Policy.
We use Amplitude, an analytics platform, to collect anonymous technical and behavioral data to help us understand how users interact with the app. We may include coarse indicators related to premium access (for example, whether Pro features appear enabled). This data includes:
This data is used solely to improve the app's performance and user experience. We do not use this data to identify individual users.
EaseUp uses Apple iCloud to back up and sync your app data—such as mood logs, breathing sessions, journal entries, and movement history—across your Apple devices. This feature is enabled by default if you are signed into iCloud on your device.
Your iCloud data is stored securely by Apple and governed by Apple’s privacy policies. EaseUp does not collect or access this data directly. You can disable iCloud sync for EaseUp at any time via your iOS device settings.
When you use our website, Amplitude helps us understand how people interact with our pages. It automatically collects information like which buttons are clicked, which pages are visited, and what type of device or browser you’re using. This helps us improve your experience.
Importantly, Amplitude does NOT collect any personal information like your name, email, or phone number.
How can you prevent this data collection?
If you prefer not to share this usage data, you can block or delete cookies in your web browser, use privacy-focused browser extensions, or browse in “private” or “incognito” mode. Some browsers also offer settings to block tracking scripts. Please note that blocking analytics may affect how some features of our website work.
The information collected via Amplitude and purchase-related data processed by Apple (In-App Purchase / StoreKit) is used solely for internal, analytical, and operational purposes, including:
We do not use the data for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not sell, trade, or rent any collected data.
The EaseUp App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
If you believe that a child has entered personal information into the app (e.g., by manually entering their name), please contact us and we will assist in removing any locally stored data from their device.
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically in the app to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. Your continued use of the app after any changes to this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such changes.
